Happy Anniversary Saran! It's been wonderful reading your articles over the past year. I think one of my favourites was your letter about the TTC. As somebody who's always hated the TTC, it actually made me find reasons to feel a little more grateful and a little less hateful about it.
Excited to read the letters you'll be writing in the coming year 💕
Happy one-year Substack anniversary, Saran! A most satisfying milestone to reach I imagine.
Totally resonate with getting more comfortable with sharing your writing over time; it's such a big part of being a writer in the long run. Substack is a great practice ground and it has allowed me to reengage with my love of the craft as well.
Here's to an even more wonderful year on the platform for you!
Happy Anniversary, Saran. I related to much of this post. I used to blog a long time ago and built a fun community with other bloggers. Then we all moved our blogs to our websites and realized we'd lost the ease of interacting in one place. I started here at Substack in January, not knowing what to expect. I'm still trying to figure it all out and I haven't even scratched the surface of all the ways to interact with others yet. But I also feel that September is a month that has a "new beginning" vibe to it. Maybe because I loved school so much and enjoyed buying supplies and getting ready to go back. So I'm thinking I'm going to revisit the posts I've done so far and start interacting more outside of those posts. Like you, I've been hesitant to share my posts on places like Linked-in since I write about spirituality. I may rethink that. I've deactivated all my other social media accounts. I just couldn't do it anymore. 😉 Here's to another year! ❤️
Thank you, Margaret, for your thoughtful comment. I love being a subscriber to your newsletter and reading your posts. Yes, I definitely relate to your feeling of loving the back-to-school preparations ☺️
Even though it’s been a year on Substack, I still feel like I have more to learn to use this platform more effectively. I enjoy how easy Substack makes it for writers and readers to connect with one other. It’s wonderful to hear that you had a blog in the past. For me, this blog is really the first time I am sharing posts publicly. My presence on other social media platforms is not active, but I’ve found that it helps to share it there to expand one’s readership. I resonate with your feelings about social media (it honestly feels like too much on some days!) but Substack has a more writer-friendly vibe to it, and I am excited to learn more about it in the coming year. I hope you keep writing and sharing your beautiful thoughts with the world. I love reading them 💖

Thank you so much, Janice! I am so happy to hear that! Thank you for reading and being one of the earliest subscribers 💖
Happy Anniversary 💛💛💛 Congratulations 🙌🏻
Love you 💖
