Thanks for reading, Esha! Yes, the postcards are so interesting! I'm not too sure if you need to request them in advance to be able to see them. It might be good to contact Fisher before your visit to inquire about it. Hope you enjoy your visit! Here is the link to contact Fisher: https://fisher.library.utoronto.ca/about-us/contact-us
I had no idea the Thomas Fisher Library was so interesting! Definitely visiting when I can. Also, the library looks mesmerizing, I think I could spend weeks holed up in there.
Thank you for reading, Janice! I hope you get to visit when you’re in Toronto. I found out that because the books are rare and old, many of the books do need to be requested beforehand if you want to read them. They also have public events during which visitors can handle items from their collections, so it’s worth checking their website before you visit.
Love the Alice in Wonderland fact 😍 thank you for sharing, what a fascinating way to spend an evening!
That was also one of my favorite facts! Thank you for reading! :)
This is one of the things I love about your newsletter—I get to learn about things I didn't know I needed to.
My favorite fact was one was about the Portuguese postcards. I want to see them! Definitely slotting a trip to the library in my schedule now.

Thanks for flashing that orange light, Saran. Otherwise, I might have ended up being disappointed.
